Description

Boarding at Punta Bandera port. Once on board, passengers will be informed of the safety rules and sailing conditions.
The activity takes place in comfortable boats with heating and decks.

First, you take a course to the west, arriving at the De Los Témpanos channel where you can see icebergs floating in the lake that are detached from the Perito Moreno glacier, the boat heads towards the Seno Mayo, at the end of the channel it disembarks in Toro Bay, together with the guides an interpretive walk of 700 meters is made to observe the Patagonian Andean forest.
You visit a waterfall that gives rise to a beautiful stream, and observing an important formation of calcareous rocks, already on the shore of the lake you can see the hanging glaciers of Cerro Mayo and Cerro Negro.

Later we return to the boat, after 15 minutes of navigation at the end of the arm we disembark on Cerro Negro, together with the guides we make a walk of 1,000 meters, entering the dense Patagonian Andean forest, accompanying the trace of the Negro stream we reach the base of Cerro Negro, from where the Negro glacier is observed. From this “hanging” glacier on the slope of the hill, a large number of waterfalls are born, which give rise to the stream that is bordered both on the way to and from the pier.

Once again on the boat we resume the course towards the De Los Témpanos channel reaching the end of it, where we are dazzled by the wonderful Perito Moreno glacier, unique for its beauty and grandeur, this enormous mass of ice is born in the Southern Patagonian Ice Field and runs 30 km long until it reaches and ends in front of the Magallanes Peninsula. on Lake Argentino, where its walls exceed 60 meters in height.

Then you disembark at the Moreno port, to walk with the guide the walkways located in front of the glacier.

The guide will explain the circuit options that are possible to travel.
The walk along the walkways is free, however, the guide will accompany the group to the main balcony and will be providing assistance.
The walkways are 5 km long and are made up of stairs that descend until they approach about 300 meters from the front of the glacier.

Perito Moreno Glacier Viewpoints, 146 meters from the access to the walkways is the Main Balcony, from where you can appreciate a stunning view. The north and south walls can be seen, as well as the glacier’s indiction zone.
From each of the remaining balconies distributed along the stairs you can appreciate the majesty of this ice giant.

Finally, after the tour of the walkways, the boat returns to take the course to the Punta Bandera port.

• 08:00 am: Start of the tour by the hotels (1) –optional-.
• 09:00 am: arrival at Puerto Bandera.

• 02:00 pm: disembarkation at Puerto Moreno.

Difficulty level: low.
The excursion is suitable for all ages, it is recommended for those traveling with babies to bring a baby carrier, a pushchair cannot be used. Adults keep in mind that the walks are made on uneven trails.
People with reduced mobility cannot participate due to the irregularity of the terrain on the walks.

• Don’t trust the Patagonian sun, always carry a coat.

  The catamaran departs punctually at 9:30 a.m., no-show implies the loss of the excursion.
