Live a unique experience touring Torres del Paine National Park, discovering the gigantic Cuernos del Paine.

Description

The excursion begins with the pick-up of passengers from their hotels (1), accompanied by a bilingual guide.
First, we crossed the Patagonian steppe from north to south. We will arrive at Cancha Carrera border crossing, a 2:30 hour trip, from which we will begin to tour the beautiful south of Chile and enter the Torres del Paine National Park.
When doing the excursion in small groups we can adjust the itinerary and walks to the group’s profile, choosing the most appropriate trails, among the variety that the place offers us.
We will visit the strategic points, from where we will undertake walks that allow us to access the panoramic viewpoints of the most important natural attractions of the Park.

Among the places and viewpoints that we will visit are:
Sarmiento de Gamboa lake (viewpoint).
Paine river falls (30 minute descent to the river).
Almirante Nieto hill / Cuernos del Paine (upper viewpoint).
Laguna Amarga entrance checkpoint (optional trekking along the wildlife trail 1 hour).
Nordenskjold lake (viewpoint).
Salto Grande (viewpoint).

Distance between El Calafate and Torres del Paine National Park (Sarmiento lake): 270 km.
Travel time: 3 hours one way and 3 hours return (plus customs delay).
The program adapts to the profile of the passengers, and the entire park can be traveled in the units.

The program is put together with walks of low technical difficulty and minimal physical demand, and if the group is suitable, it is possible to carry out more demanding routes.
All walks are carried out in the company of our qualified trekking guides.

Note: the order of the walks can be modified due to weather, or better organization of the day.

Itinerary

• 6:30 am: Beginning of the tour by the hotels(1).
  Waiting tolerance: 2 minutes (the passenger must be waiting for the vehicle).
• 7:20 am: departure from El Calafate (approximately).
• 10:00 am: arrival at the border (the guide assists passengers with immigration procedures).
  In Chile
• 11:00 am: stop at Toro lake Viewpoint.
• 11:30 am: Serrano lake entrance and checkpoint (control and entry payment for those who did not do so in advance – only by credit card)
• 12:00 pm: Pehoe camping. Meals for lunch are provided, toilets available.
• 13:00 pm: Pudeto port.
• 13:15 pm: Salto Grande (40-minute walk), if the weather permits, we continue with the longer walk of 50 more minutes towards Nordenskjold lake to see Cuernos del Paine up close.
• 15:30 pm: stop at a panoramic point with a 15-minute descent to the Superior Viewpoint of Nordenskjold lake (panoramic view of the Cuernos).
• 16:00 pm: Amarga lagoon, Las Torres lake panoramic view.
• 17:00 pm: Castillo Hill. Stop at a bar, where you can buy souvenirs, use of toilets.
  Heading Back:
• 18:00 pm: border crossing.
• 21:00 pm: approximately arrival in El Calafate, if there are no border or route delays.

Normal arrival time to El Calafate is considered between 20:30 pm and 23:00 pm.

Documentation that will be requested at the time of booking:

• Complete data of the participants: name, surname, passport or ID number, date of birth, nationality, as they appear on the document.
• Dietary restrictions if any, notice must be given after the purchase is made by email or WhatsApp, see in “includes the food offered”.

Since this tour is with international border crossing, it is VERY important to take special care to verify that there are no errors or omissions in the submission of each passenger’s information.

Due to its long duration and distances to travel on gravel roads, this excursion is not recommended for small children, pregnant women, people with risk illnesses, neck or spine problems, heart ailments or reduced motor skills.
No accessibility for people in wheelchairs.

Medium and Low Season: April to September, departures Monday, Wednesday and Friday 6:30 am return 9 pm.
Does not operate December 25 and January 1.

• In winter, wear a hat, gloves and a warm jacket, if it is waterproof, it is better.

• Should I bring a snack or is there somewhere to eat?
  Lunch is provided with a snack and drink, it is advisable to bring an additional drink.
  It is prohibited to bring fresh foods such as meats, fruits, vegetables.
• Are there bathrooms on site?
  Yes, at different stops along the route.
